Develop Internal Communications

Time Required: Set-up 2 weeks, then on-going
Location: Quito and Tena
Requirements: Familiarity with Kallari procedures; good command of Spanish
Notes:

  • Currently there is a gap between communities and Kallari volunteers (who handle the business side). Additionally, communities do not have a real sense of belonging and loyalty to Kallari (per Catherine’s research).
  • Goal – Keep open communications with communities to create and maintain a group identity.
  • What kind of marketing information can be given to the community to help them feel connected to the business side and how Kallari benefits them?
  • Some new ideas:
Create simple flowchart product life cycle – artisans create products, Kallari purchases products, etc
        Explain how markets work
Develop workshops for directors, extension workers and communities.
Create position for Kichwa person to run regular workshops in communities
