Notes:

  • Look for promotional ideas – i.e. regular e-newsletters (useful for promoting sales and building donor base)
  • Goal: quarterly – allows for shorter newsletter
  • Content ideas
       General Kallari update
       Informative articles on rainforest, Kichwa culture, petroleum
       Quarterly feature story on an artisan, family, or community
       Feature corner – new product, feature product, new ideas, unique plant/seed/raw material in the area (i.e. how cacao is harvested, where the unique seeds are found and how they process them to use in handicrafts – include photos)
       Feedback corner – solicit input from distributor, comments from customers
       Include photos
  • Develop line of posters, brochures, detailed information tags for products – point of sales displays
  • Website - Take pictures of seeds and products, post photos of specific products on website with price sheets
