Research Tourism Potential for Communities

Time required:2 month minimum
Location:Tena and the communities
Requirements:Anthropological, biological and/or tourism experience; good command of Spanish

Notes:

• Investigate / collate tourism attractions for communities
• Assess current / potential tourist markets in communities
• Assess needs for communities in developing sustainable tourism in villages
• Pros and cons of working with other tour operators/ creating a Kallari tourism arm
• Coordinate meetings within communities to determine needs and desires of members
• Work with Kallari staff to develop action plans for appropriate community tourism projects
